HOW TO ENGRAVING ON YOUR FIREARM?

 

Engraving is an ancient technique, and now you can engrave your custom firearm using the following steps below:


Ø  First, sketch the design as you like.

Ø  Unload your custom firearm.

Ø  Then, clean your firearm where you have planned to engrave.

Ø  Apply acetone on the cleaned area and rinse it to remove the acetone.

Ø  Copy your sketch with a laser copier.

Ø  And transfer the laser copy to the clean gunmetal.

Ø  Use acetone on the rear of the copy to transfer the toner ink to the gunmetal.

Ø  You can use an engraving block, shellac stick, clamp, or vise to secure the gunmetal.

Ø  Use a sharp, highly polished graver to chop the outline of your sketched design onto the gun

Ø  Slide the graver across the metal.

Ø  And add shading and detail by using differently sized and shaped gravers.

Ø  Stop and sharpen the graver from time to time, as needed

Ø  You can rub the graver against a grinding stone lightly coated with oil.

Ø  You'll hasten the time sharpening your graver by employing an emery wheel or flex shaft.

Ø  After you complete to grave your custom firearm, clean the engraved space. 

Custom Firearm engraving is not easy to learn techniques. It may take time to be perfect. You cannot erase the mistake after you engrave the custom firearm. Better it is practice with scrap metal before you carve your custom firearm.

You can also engrave your firearm using a laser. Custom Firearm engraving by hand or laser may be a bit expensive because it needs more techniques and equipment. You can also do the Custom Firearm engraving at home. Engraving makes your gun more attractive and brings a good look to the custom firearm.
